Impact of Covid-19 on technology

The outbreak of covid -19 has brought about many impact on ICT and technology at large.The adaption of new life measures isn't that easy as many people are used to their own traditional way of living.

Below are some of the impacts of covid-19 on technology.

1.Imposition of google meetings and classrooms

The introduction of google meetings and classrooms has a big impact on  today's technology.Due to fear of contacting the disease, teachers and students prefers to make their progress online.The classes that are meant to commence physically are now done on Google classroom mostly.

Meetings are done on Google meet due to fear of the disease of which time and resources are saved.When having a Google meeting or classroom you can do it from the comfort of your home and there is no need to travel to venues or classrooms.Hence this saves time and resources too.The money that was meant for traveling and accommodation is saved for further expensis or use .

 

2.Faster networks

The working from home that was introduced during the times of fresh outbreak of the Corona virus had a big impact on the networking.There had to be faster and efficient networking in order for one to be able to work from home.The 4G network has now far much improved due to its demand and use.Working from home needs much data and it should be faster and efficient.

Few years to come the 5G will now be introduced and the network and internet at large will be more efficient and faster and it will make things easier when it comes to internet browsing and access.The 5G will be more faster than the 4G network.This will reduce congestion in offices and other working places as one works from home.

3.Inflationary risk on products

Inflation on products was seen since the very days of Covid-19 outbreak upto date.The supply sector has been affected due to many healthy measures imposed to the public.There are many certificates to be acquired  in order for one to move from one place to another.There is the covid-19 vaccine that one must have in order for them to travel to other places and be able to carry out there activities.The covid-19 certificates are downloaded online after one is through with their doze.

4.Drones, Robots and automation

There is now automation of vehicles,use of robots and drones in the supply chain.In the healthcare sector robots are used to deliver medicines to patients, this is to avoid close contact of patients and nurses of which will reduce the spread of the disease.

In some countries,drones are used in imposing the social distancing criteria in major towns.The robots are used to produce labor.In manufacturing companies,the number of people who used to provide labor has gone down due to the work made easier by robots.They work tirelessly unlike human beings thus working for long hours none stop.
