KENYA BATTLES THE 6TH WAVE OF COVID-19

 6TH WAVE OF CORONAVIRUS IS NOW HERE WITH US!!


The covid-19 which the 19 in its name came just because the disease was noticed in Kenya in the year 2019,has now become a headache to Kenyans and the rest of the world.New cases are announced each and every day all over the world.



Following the emerging of the 6th wave of Coronavirus,Kenya has therefore reinstated mandatory wearing of mask. Speaking on 20 June 2022 at Afya house,the Minister of health Doctor Mutahi Kagwe stated that the Country should go back to masking up.



People are to put on mask in public places and congregation.The places include Shopping malls, Churches, Mosques,In public vehicles and in places of Services such as Offices among other places.This is because the positive cases are now shocking.There are new cases every day and the numbers are going up.




The total cases in Kenya are now 330k+ and 5651+ deaths. 541+ Million in the world and 6.32+ Million deaths.
This indicates that the number of positive cases and deaths occurred as a result of Coronavirus is still going up.




Most Common Symptoms of covid-19 

1. Fever
2. Cough
3. Tiredness
4. Loss of test or smell
5. Breathing difficulties


Less common symptoms of covid-19 

1. Sore throat
2. Headache
3. Aches and pains
4. A rash on skin or discolouration of fingers or toes
5. Red or irritated eyes


Preventions of covid-19 

1. Wash hands regularly with soup and water or sanitize well using a n alcohol based hand sanitizer.
2. Wear a mask on public places.
3. Develop hand hygiene practices and physical distancing.
4. Get vaccinated.
5. Reduce visiting healthcare center to evaluate respiratory infection.
6. Cover your cough.
7. Stay  at home when you develop flu like symptoms  so that you don't spread the disease.
